Kerry-shmerry

Hey, you know what?
This sun of a bun gave up!  I mean, he gave up, he made a speech

He surrendered. Before the votes were counted.

Fucking loser!

And how about vote rigging? I commented on this here:

http://psina.blogspot.com/2004/09/voting-disenfranchisement-appears-to.html
http://psina.blogspot.com/2004/11/election-has-not-yet-started.html

There are a few more articles on the same topic (vote manipulation/voter disenfranchisement) in the same blog.

there's reallyy nothing anyone can do about it this time - but just like in 2000 in Florida, it's a good idea ro make sure the same thing doesn't happen again. For the future maybe something can be done about lack of paper trails in electronic voting.

If you are talking you or me,- yes, you are correct, there is nothing you or I could do at this moment to help the situation. Not so John Kerry. And that is why at the moment I deeply despise him for caving in and simply kissing The Supreme Ruler's ass.

Thank you, Dikayasobaka!

Well, I think Kerry showed everyone who voted for him, that he is ready to show his back when it gets hot. Which is hardly consistent with his Vietnam story.

My name is Boris, by the way:)

At any rate, I am not going to dispute Kerry's Vietnam story as I was not there and people who fought on the same boat with him say it was just the way he tells it. That is not the point.

The point is, there is a difference between a soldier's courage of an idealistic young man and a cynical pragmatism of a seasoned politician who may well choose to play it safe when he ain't sure. The choice for Kerry,- if he acted the way you and I would have wanted him to act,- would likely have been either a President (with Republicans trying to sabotage his every move), in case he is proven to have won,- or a political nobody, somebody discredited out of any chance to ever play in the big leagues. He decided to play it safe, to surrender the presidency but remain in the big leagues regardless. That is how I interpret the situation.

I must agree.
I only don't know who and for what purpose will want him now...

Do you mean to ask, who will want a tamed opposition? Just about anybody in charge, would be my answer. It don't look good, not in the least, when you ain't got no opposition and everyone sees you for a tinpot tyrant you are; it is much better to have some, that maybe blocks your decisions of seconday importance from time to time, but never dares to interfere with serious ones.
